Move In Info

We are excited to welcome you into your new home for the year! To help you prepare, RPG will email you well in advance of your move in date with instructions of what you need to do for moving in.

  • Occupants are not permitted to move into the house without an executed sublease agreement and payment of the chapter membership deposit and first rent installment.

If any Occupant moves into a house without following this procedure, he will be subject to a penalty of $250.00 plus any applicable administrative fees.

  • We do not allow early move-ins.

  • There is not storage space available.

Move In Instructions

  • Pick up your house key/code from the house manager.

  • Complete a Move-In Inspection Form. Once an occupant takes possession of his room, he has 7 days to complete a move-in inspection form. It will be accepted no later than September 1.

Failure to complete the form within 7 days of occupancy results in the Occupant accepting the condition of the house as is, and could be subject to charges for conditions that were present upon his move-in.

  • Log into your RPG Tenant Portal online to review your account details including the Documents section where you can review the sublease,  House Rules, Damage and Cleaning Fee Schedule, Master Lease, packing list, and helpful links and more.

  • Notify RPG if your room assignment on your Tenant Portal is incorrect. Note there is a $150 Room Change Fee for any room change after 7 days of the move-in date.

  • Log into your RPG Tenant Portal online to submit Maintenance ticket requests.

  • Occupants are expected to abide by all fire and life safety requirements including but not limited to tampering or removing equipment like smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency exit signage, and not hanging things on or around sprinkler systems- pipes and heads. Tampering with life safety items in any fashion is subject to a $250 fine and could be subject to a criminal charge.

  • Occupants are not allowed to… repaint the room walls, doors, windows, or trim, or remove window screens, blinds, doors, furniture, door hardware, light fixtures, or flooring that is the property of RPG.

All furniture that is provided by RPG is to remain within the room space and cannot be stored elsewhere.

Graduating members may request their Chapter Membership Deposit back up to 6 months post graduation along with proof of graduation and alumnus membership on the organization roster.

  • Summer Storage

Want to store your items over the summer? Storage inside the house isn’t available however, we will coordinate through our national partnership a pod rental in the house parking lot that you can sign up for to move your items into instead of moving them all the way home.

  • Damage & Cleaning Fee Schedule

Rates are set on RPG’s established fee schedule and will be used when assessing the room and property conditions. You can find a copy of the fee schedule below.

  • Charge Appeals

Occupants have up to 2 weeks to appeal a move out charge if they see fit after charges have been posted to their accounts. Appeals will not be accepted in any other form or past the 2-week deadline. An appeal will automatically be denied if the occupant did not submit a Move-In Inspection form upon occupying the property.

Academic Breaks

The Chapter House does not close for Fall, Thanksgiving or Spring Break but it does close for Winter and Summer Break. During this time occupants are expected to vacate the facility however their belongings may remain. If an occupant needs to stay during some or all of the break, they may submit a Request for Break Occupancy. Break occupancy does have a $100/day fee. Depending on the scenario, RPG may waive the fee which is evaluated on a case-by-case scenario.

Utilities

RPG Bills a projected utility rate to occupants. This figure is based on historical usage data from previous years and is split equally amongst all occupants year to year. At the end of the semester, RPG audits the actual usage compared to the projected rate and issues a charge or credit for the difference. Reach out to RPG for a copy of your facility’s most recent utility audit.
